Skyler earned a Bachelor of Management with Distinction in finance from the University of Lethbridge, followed by a Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta. During law school, he was active in Student Legal Services’ Criminal Law Project. In his final year, Skyler was accepted into the Low Income Individuals and the Law program, completing a practicum with Legal Aid Alberta’s Criminal Trial Group.

 

A lifelong Albertan, Skyler is dedicated to serving his community. Practicing exclusively in criminal law, he defends clients facing charges under the Criminal Code, as well as drug, regulatory, and traffic offenses. He is also a member of the Criminal Trial Lawyers Association.

Skyler approaches criminal law as a navigator, guiding clients through the complexities of the criminal justice system with respect and clear communication. Understanding the stress of facing charges, he ensures clients are informed and supported at every step, building trust with straightforward advice. Skyler is committed to protecting Charter rights—including life, liberty, and fair trial rights—and works diligently to achieve the best possible outcomes for his clients.
